Few weeks ago, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency – NIMASA – has signed a Letter-of-Intent with Sternula and the participation in the Worldwide AIS 2.0 Demo Project that will allow for early testing of digital services over satellite-based AIS 2.0 at the beginning of 2023.
The signing ceremony took place at NIMASA’s office in the port of Lagos and was attended by representatives from The Danish Trade Council in Nigeria (The Trade Council).
NIMASA was represented at the ceremony by Director General, Bashir Jamoh, PhD, Ibrahim Shettima, Shedu Ahmed, and Ugnede Williams Abuh. Sternula was represented by Jakob Weibrecht and Dormene Donald Nunieh. The Danish Trade Council was represented by Consul General in Nigeria, Per Christensen.
