Sternula has begun the process of ramping up its organization before the planned satellite launch in 2022. At the general assembly on 29th January, a new board of directors was established to develop a solid go-to-market strategy for the company. The change follows the acquisition of shares in Sternula by Danish tech entrepreneur and business angel, Morten Lindblad, who was elected as the new chairman of the board.
Morten Lindblad comes with a strong background from economics and digitalization. He started his career in public sector administration before launching Dataproces, a software consultancy company which became publicly listed on the NASDAQ First North Denmark stock exchange in November 2020.
The short-term goal for Sternula and Morten Lindblad is to attract a strong group of investors to allow the company to execute its plans for offering cost-effective, global VDES connectivity for maritime authorities and service providers.
Morten Lindblad said: “Sternula is a first-mover in the emerging VDES connectivity market, which is going to enable new digital services. This is a great opportunity and a challenge that I am very excited to be involved in. The founder team has established a strong platform and prepared an ambitious plan, where I hope that my experience and ideas will help making it a success”.
Anders Harbo Thomsen (SAT Invest) and Stefan Pielmeier (co-founder of Sternula) will be the other two members of the new board of directors. Lars Moltsen (co-founder of Sternula) will stay in the role of CEO.
